REFLECTIONS ALONG THE WAY

From the desk of Steve Macchia
Dear Friend,

I’ve always wanted a green thumb. But, my gardening aptitude has been sporadic at best. I recently enjoyed having an expert to help with our yard and garden. And, I’m amazed at the results. It’s astonishing what know-how and patience will produce. God alone has the perfect “green thumb” and all that he plants, waters, nourishes, trims and blesses grows really well. As we turn the page into our 16th year of ministry (on July 1), I’m delighting in the myriad of ways God has planted good seeds, deepened our roots, trimmed our weeds and blessed our fruitfulness. When we do our part, respond to his protective and pruning hands, pray patiently and with wisdom and discernment, he multiplies as he so desires. What you are about to read in this issue of our newsletter is evidence of God’s green thumb and the faithfulness of his servants, the LTI team. I’m blessed and grateful beyond measure and words.

In Christ alone,

Founder & President

ENNEAGRAM WORKSHOP
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14

The Enneagram has been increasingly recognized as a helpful tool for self-awareness and discipleship with roots in Christian spiritual theology. More than a personality test that describes our strengths and weaknesses, the Enneagram examines the virtues, motivators, defense mechanisms and "deadly sins" that lie underneath the surface. This workshop presents a distinctly Christian approach to using the Enneagram for discipleship. A portion of the workshop will be spent introducing the Enneagram through a biblical and theological lens. Each registrant will take an online WEPSS Enneagram assessment in advance of the workshop. With detailed and personalized results in hand, we'll spend the morning together exploring the self-discovery insights offered by this ancient tool.

We praise God for the ability to leverage the technology available to us today to help church leaders listen well as they discern the road ahead.
