Assessments

"The Church Health Assessment Tool really stands out.  I like how CHAT identifies your church's strengths, involves every member, is easy to take online, and offers highly-readable results.  What a great tool to assess where you are, fill people with hope, and together discern God’s will for your future."

Kevin Miller

"Steve Macchia is at it again. His burning passion to see churches achieve maximum health has taken the next step. CHAT (Church Health Assessment Tool) provides churches with an easy-to-use look at themselves that could move many congregations toward the health that Steve (and, more importantly, the Spirit) envisions."

"Without a doubt, one of the greatest needs of a large number of churches in America is to become more healthy.  Leadership Transformations' new Church Health Assessment Tool (CHAT) should be a great help to all who use it.  It is a joy to recommend

Church Health Assessment Tool (CHAT) [read more]

Having your finger on the pulse church health is an important discipline for every church leader.  But it’s difficult to gather much more than anecdotal feedback from those closest to you.  Now you can get widespread anonymous feedback from your entire church using the new Church Health Assessment Tool (CHAT) from Leadership Transformations.  CHAT is a convenient, affordable, user-friendly online survey that allows you to get an accurate measurement of your church’s health based on 10 proven church health categories (view our church health model).  In as little as 30 days, you can collect and study crucial feedback from your congregation and leadership team.

CHAT does all the work for you but keeps you in control of the process and sends the end report right to your email inbox.  The report is designed to help you frame your strategic decision making for increased ministry effectiveness.  It’s principle-based not program-based, so it won’t interfere with your current ministry programming.  Best of all, you aren’t required to hire a consultant to walk you through the process? CHAT does it all but you are in the driver’s seat!  You can even track your progress from start to finish via our Pastor’s Console.

CHAT is a 72-question assessment covering the cross-denominationally applicable church health principles outlined in Becoming a Healthy Church (Dr. Stephen A. Macchia, Baker Books, 2006).  Since the assessment is web-based, participants can take the survey from the convenience of home or office (paper option also available) in a 20-25 minute timeframe.  Responses of the congregation and leadership team are tracked separately for direct comparison.  At the end of the survey window that you choose, you’ll receive an email prompting you for final payment.  Only minutes later, your comprehensive but easy-to-read CHAT report will be delivered right to your email inbox.  Identities of the respondents are kept strictly anonymous, though you will be provided with demographics of the participants such as age, gender, marital status, ethnicity, education, and years attending your church.  If you’d like additional assistance at the end of the process, you have the option of hiring one of our qualified Church Health Coaches via a convenient and affordable telecom package.

Team Health Assessmenet Tool (THAT) [read more]

Coming Soon!  We’re in the process of designing an assessment for team health.  THAT will measure how well your team functions in these 5 categories: Trust, Empower, Assimilate, Manage, and Serve.  This will be an insightful tool for any team of 3 or more serving in varied contexts.  Keep an eye on the website for more information as this exciting new tool is developed and launched.

Individual Health Assessment Tool (IHAT) [read more]

Coming Soon!  We’re also in the process of designing an individual health assessment.  IHAT takes the 10 categories from Becoming a Healthy Disciple (Dr. Stephen A. Macchia, Baker Books, 2001) and gives each individual an opportunity to rate themselves.  Intermixed with the survey questions will be opportunities for free-typed responses to open ended questions about your spiritual journey and condition.  The end report will display on screen for easy printing at the end of the brief assessment.  The idea would be to take the assessment, print the report, and ask the rest of your small group do the same, before coming together to discuss what you each learned about yourselves.  Keep an eye on the website for more information as this insightful new tool is developed and launched.
